Nasir inaugurates 64-Slice CT-Scan angiography facilities at PIMS

ISLAMABAD—To provide better cardiac diagnostic/treatment facilities, Federal Minister for Health Muhammad Nasir Khan inaugurated 64-Slice CT-Scan angiography facilities at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) here on Wednesday.
Secretary Health Mr. Khushnood Akhtar Lashari, Dr. Ghazala Mehmood, Dr. Fazl-e-Hadi and senior doctors of PIMS attended the inaugural ceremony.
The project was initiated under the directives of the Prime Minister to provide cardiac diagnostic and treatment facilities at PIMS, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases Karachi and Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology Rawalpindi. The project is being completed at a total cost of Rs. 360 million.
Unveiling the plaque of the new facilities, Health Minister stressed uponthe doctors and paramedical staff to work with dedication and keep patients care above every thing. A satisfied patient is a good-will ambassador for the hospital, he added.
Briefing the audience, Dr. Shahid Nawaz Malik, Cardiologist at PIMS said that about 3000 patients would benefit from the facility annually.
He said the new facility would enable PIMS to offer a variety of services for diagnostic/treatment of cardiac diseases.
