4 get life term

GUJRANWALA—Additional district and session judge, Mustafa Tanveer has awarded four times life term with fine of Rs 400,000 each to four accused involved in quadruple murder case of Police Station Qila Didar Singh. The court also awarded 48 years collective imprisonment with Rs. 40,000 fine to the convicts Tariq, Liaqat,Zulfiqar and Binyamin under other sections. Tariq and Liaqat will further undergo three months rigorous imprisonment under section 171. According to prosecution, Tariq, Liaqat, Zulifqar and Binyamin had killed Noor Muhammad, his three sons Asmat Ullah, Zakaullah and Shamshad over old enmity on November 25, 1997 in the jurisdiction of police station Qila Didar Singh.—Agencies
