Anyone can be PM instead of BB in future, says Rashid

RAWALPINDI—Federal Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has hinted that anyone can be Prime Minister of the country instead of Chairperson Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Benazir Bhutto in future.
Despite emergency rule in the country, the elections will be held in accordance with schedule announced by the President, the minister said this while talking to media men during inspection of construction work of Sheikh Rashid Expressway and Cha Sultan road. Director General Frontier Work Organization Maj. Gen. Javed Iqbal briefed the Railway minister about the construction work of expressway in length.
DG FWO said that the construction of expressway from Muree Road to alongside the bridge of Gawalmandi would be completed till January next year, added, obstacles in the Project will be demolished.
He also made supervise visit to Cha Sultan and reviewed its construction work, besides listening problem of local traders being faced by them. On the occasion, the minister directed relevant authorities to construct the road immediately and ensure use of quality materials. Talking to media men, he said, the citizen will cast vote in the elections according to their will, however, anyone can be Prime Minister instead of Benazir Bhutto in future. Sheikh Rashid Ahmed added he would win the elections with heavy majority, as the labourer, Rickshaw men, hawkers, vendors and people related to all walks of life in Rawalpindi are with him. Federal Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said he has completed all the pledges, which he made with masses living in Rawalpindi.
Besides construction of 55 educational institutes, he said, now burn unit in holy family hospital is being expanded while the construction work of state of art and quake proof mother children hospital at cost of Rs. 2.35 billion is underway.
Commenting of performance of Railway, he said, people living in NWFP, Hazara, Azad Kashmir and twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have speedy train services and they can reach Karachi from Rawalpindi in 20 to 24 hours.
