Capital to have Peace Committees

ISLAMABAD—SSP Islamabad Syed Kaleem Imam has said that peace committees would be setup in the all police stations of the capital and police officials suspended in the past would be reinstated.
The SSP Islamabad while talking to media men said that peace committees are being established aiming to give relief to the citizens and work in this regard has been started and all segments of the society would be included in these peace committees.
Answering a question regarding no change in the members of Reconciliation Committees established for the last seven years, the SSP Islamabad said that these committees would be made more effective and new members would be included.
Highlighting the steps taken for the welfare of the employees of Islamabad Police, he said that better treatment would be provided to low-income employees.
He said that the award would be given to police officials who would show better performance; adding negligence would not be spared at any cost.
Commenting on the law and order situation in the capital, the SSP Islamabad said that the situation in this regard is satisfactorily.
