Senior Chinese legislator meets Turkmenian Minister of Defense

BEIJING—Senior Chinese legislator Xu Jialu met with visiting Minister of Defense of Turkmenistan Agagelgy Mametgeldiyev here Friday.
Xu, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), said China attaches importance to developing friendly cooperation with Turkmenistan in various fields, and is willing to promote bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs.
He also expressed the Chinese Government’s appreciation for Turkmenistan’s adherence to the one-China policy.
Mametgeldiyev said that the Turkmenistan side is willing to further promote friendly relations between the two countries.—Xinhua
