Emergency imposed to tackle confrontation among institutions
Staff Report

ISLAMABAD—Federal Minister for Environment, Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat said on Wednesday that there was no option other than imposition of emergency to tackle the confrontational situation among various institutions in the country.
He was talking to the newsmen after a children art competition here today.
“Some political parties want to escape general elections but the government would never allow them to do so and the general elections would be held at all cost,” he said.
He considered the elections as the resolution of problems facing the country and said that the reasons for impositions of emergency have already appeared before the masses.
The Federal Cabinet in its meeting has already approved the imposition of emergency in the country while the Pakistan Muslim League and its allied parties have also given approval to this effect.
Replying to a question he said, “Pakistan was facing dangers at domestic front and there was a confrontational situation among various institutions in the country.”
