Suicide bombers have nothing to do with
Islam: Pir Naqib
RAWALPINDI—Pir Naqib ur Rahman, custodian of Eidgah shrine, Monday
stressed the need for foiling the nefarious designs of those who want to
serve the vested interests through suicide bombings and other acts of
terrorism and extremism.
“Islam does not endorse terrorism acts including suicide attacks and
extremism, rather it guarantees protection of the life and property even
to non-Muslims,” Pir Naqib said.
Addressing weekly Dars-e-Hadith congregation at Eidgah Sharif he said
those committing terrorism acts and promoting extremism have nothing to
do with Islam because a Muslim can never indulge in such activities.
A large number of devotees attended the congregation.
He said Islam is a religion of peace and besides advocatingbrotherhood
and harmony, lays stress on tolerance and prudence.
Pir Sahib said history of the world is witness to the fact that people
who demonstrated arrogance and pride instead of thanking Almighty Allah
for His blessings, faced His wrath.
“Only such persons will be closer to me who will have high moral
values,” Pir Naqib said quoting Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be
Upon Him).
Pir Naqib underlined the need for strictly abiding by the teaching of
Islam and adhering to the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad
(Peace Be Upon Him) to meet the challenges confronting the Islamic world
today.
The custodian of Eidgah shrine said being followers of the Holy Prophet
Hazrat Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him, Muslims were duty-bound to project
true image of Islam through their words anddeeds.
Pir Naqib-ur-Rehman said Pakistan had come into being in thename of
Islam and it was duty of the countrymen to work for making it a strong,
