Dr Waseem Kousar takes over as Commandant Police College, Sihala 

ISLAMABAD—Dr. Waseem Kousar, Additional Inspector General of Police (BS-21), on Monday assumed the charge as Commandant of Police College, Sihala.
Enjoying an outstanding career in police service, he has also distinction of obtaining Ph.D degree in Police Studies from University of Exeter, United Kingdom. Dr Waseem had served on a number of Staff and CommandAssignments and is playing a leading role in promoting soft-service oriented and public-friendly policing.
He has also honour of training Ist batch of motorway policeofficers. He was also given an award by Prime Minister for his efforts to promote service oriented policies and behaviour inMotorway police.
He recently served as DIG Motorway Police Lahore.
Presently, more than 2000 police officials includingforeigners from Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Afghanistan andJordan are getting professional as well as anti-terrorism training in Police College, Sihala.
The college has also received recently a formal request fromAfghanistan and Kenya for providing training to their policeofficials which reflects the distinction of college in maintaining the standard of best training institute in the region.—APP
