Musharraf pooh poohs rumours of his House Arrest

ISLAMABAD—President and Chief of Army Staff General Pervez Musharraf Monday brushed aside all rumours that his subordinates have placed him under house arrest.
While talking to a foreign new agency Reuters, President made it crystal-clear that he has not been placed under any house arrest terming it baseless and unjustified rumours. He denied rumours sweeping across Pakistan that he has been placed under house arrest by the subordinates who are unhappy with his decision to impose emergency rule (PCO) in the country. Earlier, Journalist Community, newspapers and TV channels were receiving phone calls that General Ishfaq Pervaiz Kiyani had taken over the duties of President Musharraf as Army Chief of the country and President Musharraf placed under house arrest in this regard.—Agencies
