Iran to establish artificial human limbs center in NIH

ISLAMABAD—Islamic Republic of Iran will set up an artificial human limbs manufacturing center in National Institute of Health (NIH).
This was announced in a meeting held between Federal Secretary Health Khushnood Akhtar Lashari and Iranian Councilor General in Pakistan Mohsin Shah Mohammadi who met here in the Ministry of Health here on Friday.
Dr. Tariq of World Health Organization and Dr. Jhanzaib Orakzai were also present on the occasion.
During the meeting both the leaders discussed and reviewed matters pertaining to the preparation of the artificial limbs. The aforementioned center will be set with the collaboration of the Red Crescent Society of Iran and Ministry of Health Pakistan.
The center will also serve as Trauma Center besides preparation of artificial limbs where disabled persons would be provided Psychological treatment.
There is great demand of artificial limbs in Pakistan especially after the 8th October 2005 tragedy.
Secretary Khushnood Akhtar Lashari has thanked the government of Iran and also further sought cooperation of Iran for the establishment of more centers in the other areas of Pakistan.
