200 wine bottles seized

ISLAMABAD—Islamabad Police on Friday arrested a person and recovered 200 wine bottles from his possession, a police spokesman said. Bhara Kahu police stopped a car (LXG-7110) for checking on Murree road and recovered 200 wine bottles from boot of the car. Further investigation is underway from the driver of car identified as Fazal ur Rehman. Meanwhile, a person identified as Javed Saleem was shot dead by some unidentified persons near `Dhok Kala Khan Stop’ in Shehzad town police station jurisdiction. Police are investigating the matter, he added. The police spokesman said seven outlaws have also been arrested from the different areas of the Capital in possession of looted items and illegal weapons. These were identified as Tanveer Abbas, Jaleel Khan, Ishfaq Ahmed, Shehzad Gul, Riaz, Amjad Khan and Ajmal. Further investigation is underway from them, he added.—Online
