7 killed in Sui mine blast

QUETTA—7 persons including 1 child were killed and 14 injured in two separate incidents of land mine explosion in the area of Nailagh of Sui Friday.
Single door Pick up carrying passengers was on its way from Sui to Neilagh. The passengers were returning to their homes after purchasing essential commodities from Sui . The pick up ran over a land mine on the way, which was laid by some unknown persons. The land mine exploded with a big bang. 6 persons identified as Ali Hassan, Abdul Majeed, Haibat Khan, Arz Muhammad, Abdul Rahim and one unknown person were killed and 14 persons were critically injured. Three of them are stated to be in precarious condition. In second incident a 7-year old child Saeen Dad was killed when a land mine exploded after he put his foot on it. His mother and father were seriously injured. They were shifted to hospital immediately. Police and local administration reached the scene forthwith and started relief operation.—Agencies
