ISLAMABAD—Election Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of reference against Member National Assembly Dr Firdous Aashiq Awan for November 7. The hearing was conducted by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Justice (r) Qazi Muhammad Farooq and member of the Commission Justice Naseem Sikandar, Judge Lahore High Court. After adjournment of the hearing on Wednesday, counsel of the MNA Firdous Aashiq said that he has submitted a “list of witnesses” with the Election Commission and pleaded to summon all persons including those joined the ruling party before the commission as they have also changed their political affiliations. The reference for disqualification of MNA Firdous was moved after she switched her loyalty to Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians.—Agencies
