Two
Pakistanis jailed for death threat
LONDON—A British Crown court has sentenced two Pakistanis to eight years
prison term for a terrifying assault on a woman. The court also ordered
that Nadeem Shah, 26, and Bilal Butt, 24, both described as illegal
immigrants, to be deported after serving their sentences. According to
Police, the two who had no fixed address terrified the woman in Ilford,
East London, after getting into her flat and demanded money while tying
her up and holding knife to her throat in an incident in July last
summer. The pair pleaded guilty to false imprisonment, possession of
firearms with intent and aggravated burglary. Shah was described in the
court as a refused asylum seeker and Butt as an overstayer.—Agencies |
