Charsadda blast victims compensated

ISLAMABAD—Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao Monday distributed Rs 300,000 compensation cheques among six victims of Charsada suicide attack. Each victim including Personal Secretary (PS) to Interior Minister Sherpao Raja Javed Akram were handed over Rs. 50,000 cheques. As many as 28 persons were killed and more than 60 others injured as a result of a suicide attack in the public meeting addressed by Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao in Charsadda on April 29, this year. Both Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, who is also head of his faction of PPP, and his son Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao, survived the suicide attack.—Online
