Six dead in Rawalpindi suicide blast

RAWALPINDI— A suicide bomber blown himself at Katchehry Chowk of Rawalpindi Tuesday, reportedly killing six persons and injuring several others.
Ten injured in the blast have been shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi, reports said. It was a suicide attack made by a pedestrian, a spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said in Islamabad.
Katchehry Chowk and adjacent Ayub Park area have been cordoned off while the security has been further tightened in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Earlier, federal railway minister Shaikh Rashid Ahmed said that there were reports that up to three possible suicide attackers had managed to enter Rawalpindi and neighbouring Islamabad in recent days.
