possible with PML-N, says PM

KARACHI—Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said there can be reconciliation
with all political parties including PPP and PML-N adding no amnesty
under National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) however will be given to
the convicted persons.
“We are ready to go for dialogue with all parties including PPP and PML-N
and can go for reconciliation with them”, he said this while addressing
a press conference here Sunday in governor house. Governor Sindh Dr
Ishrat ul Ibad Khan and chief minister Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim were
also present on the occasion.
“ We have introduced culture of reconciliation in politics and we are in
contact with all political parties at present”, he held. Citing to PML-N
he said PML-N was a reality. When we can hold talks with all political
parties then we can go for dialogue with PML-N too”, he added. It is
endeavor of government that peace is restored in Swat, he said adding
“we hope peace will return there soon. He told PML-Q has made all
preparations with reference to elections in Sindh. PML-Q will once again
achieve success in the elections with the cooperation of its allies, he
hoped..
NRO is aimed at bringing to end political vendetta. “ However I can
speak no more on NRO as the matter is in court. Political temperature
goes up when the elections draw close, he said . Providing security to
the citizens is responsibility of the government, he added.
Expressing sorrow over October, 18 blasts he said investigation agencies
had reached the bottom of all cases. Elements behind October 18 tragedy
will soon be apprehended, he hoped.
Development projects have been launched at massive scale in the country,
he said adding once there was time when Pakistan was being declared
bankrupt. “But we set the country on the track to development, he
underlined.
He told petrol prices had reached the level of $90 per barrel in
international market. “ But we have not increased petrol prices so far”,
he added. Pir Pagara and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain have entered into
reconciliation and this is good omen for us, he told.
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said that it augurs well for the country
as well as the political system that the assemblies are completing their
full term. Addressing a news conference at the Governor House here on
Sunday, he pointed out that this is for the first time in the 60 years
history of the country that the assemblies are completing their full
term. He was of the view that it should be pondered as to why this did
not happen before and why the opportunity has come this time.
