Better facilities vital to achieve results: SSP

ISLAMABAD—Better facilities are pivotal for achieving better results
from any institution as proved through the performance of Islamabad
Traffic Police (ITP).
This was stated by Muhammad Zubair Hashmi, Senior Superintendent of
Police, Traffic Islamabad in his address to a road safety workshop
arranged here in collaboration with an NGO, AVIS.
The TIP proved itself a corruption free institution and minimized the
VIP culture on roads, he added.
According to details ITP in collaboration with AVIS arranged a two-day
road safety workshop which was attended by the representatives of the
NGO and drivers. The education team of ITP delivered comprehensive
lectures to the participants, elaborating the importance of traffic
signs, rules & regulation of driving traffic laws.
In concluding session Muhammad Zubair Hashmi was invited as a chief
guest while the Vice President AVIS also joined the session.
The aim to hold such road safety workshop is to educate the citizens
about traffic law and to polish driving skill, the SSP said.
He stated that through enhancing the driving skill the citizens can save
their lives as well as others lives.
He said that after getting better incentives, ITP emerged a corruption
free institutions and able to implement equal application of traffic
laws irrespective of rank and status.
To maintain the standard of ITP various steps are being taken for the
welfare of ITP personnel, enabling them to provide better facilities to
the road users especially the habitants of the capital, he maintained.
Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) is a corruption free institution and all
possible steps are being ensured to maintain the image of the force.
It was stated by the Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Islamabad
Muhammad Zubair Hashmi here at road safety workshop.
He said it is the duty of ITP to resolve traffic issues being
experienced by the citizens but it is also the duty of citizens to
pinpoint the traffic problems.
The SSP urged the public to join hand with ITP for immediate redressal
of their grievances.
For a safe road environment and traffic discipline, public should have
complete awareness about traffic rules so the road discipline could be
maintained, he added. ITP is continuously holding road safety workshops
in ICT toaccu stom the road users with traffic laws.
The workshop was jointly organized by ITP and NEC Japan Corporation as
part of efforts to inculcate sense of traffic rules among the citizens.
Detailed lectures were delivered and visuals were playedregarding road
safety tips to the participants of workshop. |
