Saif admits affair with Bebo

BOMBAY—Bollywood’s actor popularly known as Chhote Nawab, Saif Ali Khan has set at rest all speculation about the reports of his affair with actress Kareena Kapoor. Saif has confessed this publicly. He has said, “We are very much happy together.” He has announced this while talking to the media on the sidelines of the concluding session of Lakme Fashion attended by a galaxy of stars. The actor on Thursday night admitted to having an affair with actress Kareena Kapoor. Incidentally, he has said this in the presence of Kareena who accompanied him to the show by fashion designer Manish Malhotra - a favorite with the industry. Saif admits his relationship with Kareena saying, “Yes, we are not exactly shouting from the rooftops but yes, clearly we are together. And we are happy together.” This is to recall that only last year at the Wills India Life Style Fashion Week held in New Delhi by the same designer, Kareena had walked the ramp with Shahid Kapur! Industry sources wonder if ‘Jab We Met ‘would be the last film featuring the Shahid Kapoor and Karenna Kapoor together.
Ironically, this announcement comes just a week before the release of ‘Jab We Met’, the film which sees ‘Bebo’ and her ex-beau Shahid Kapoor teaming up for the fourth time after ‘Fida’, ‘36 China Town’ and ‘Chup Chup Ke’. When Shahid met Kareena late last month amidst raging rumors about the latter’s relationship with Saif, it sparked hopes that the couple would start their relationship afresh. Alas, when they met on the sets of ‘Jab We Met’ on September 30th, to be precise, at the request of their director, it was perhaps only to wrap up their latest film together. Their fans, however, will miss them more than the industry.
There is a sigh of relief for Shahid’s fans as the latest addition to Bollywood Vidya Balan has been consistently lending Shahid all support at a juncture when Kareena’s break up has shocked the actor beyond expression. The actor is reportedly addicted to chain smoking and doesn’t bother about its ills. He doesn’t listen to his well wishers. Luckily, Vidya is often seen with Shahid during the shooting as well as in shopping. This is the only relaxation for Shahid. She has thus proved a friend indeed of Shahid in the latter’s urgent need!
Meanwhile, the producers and distributors of Imtiaz Ali’s forthcoming Shahid Kapoor - Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Jab We Met’ are leaving no stone unturned for the promotion of the keenly awaited film. After Kareena Kapoor launched the soundtrack on ‘Sa Re Ga Ma’ and Shahid Kapoor has agreed to feature in a forthcoming episode of ‘Nach Baliye’ to shake a leg to the remix of “Mauja Hi Mauja”, the latest is that Shahid will shoot for ‘Jhalak Dikhlaja”, the popular dance show on Sony TV. This is part of the ‘Jab We Met’ promotion, confirms Imtiaz. Shahid is a special judge on Jhalak Dikhlaja.
Garba revelry hit a new crescendo in Ahmedabad on Wednesday night. No, it was not just the colorful twirling ghaghras and synchronised claps that had people enthralled. In fact, many a dancer skipped a step as Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapur trooped in at prominent garba venues on the S G Highway as part of Times Navratri Dhamaal and gave away many prizes at ND Patel Farm, Rajpath Club and Karavati Club. Such was the adulation of his fans that it took almost an hour for Shahid to wade past the crowd and reach the stage. Thousands crowded and elbowed around just to catch a glimpse of the hunk. Radio Mirchi RJ Dhwanit even gave a unique introduction to the actor by singing the popular folk song ‘Sanedo’. To everyone’s surprise, Shahid joined Dhwanit in singing the Sanedo number and conversed with his fans in Gujarati. “This is my first visit to Ahmedabad and people’s reaction has been very heartening,” he said.
