Electoral rolls to be unveiled today

Islamabad—Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad, Secretary, Election Commission of Pakistan has stated that Mr. Justice (R) Qazi Muhammad Farooq, Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan has ordered that the Fresh Computerized Electoral Rolls-2006-07 shall be finally published throughout the Country on 26th October, 2007, as required under Section 16 of the Electoral Rolls Act, 1974 read with Rule 15 of the Electoral Rolls Rules, 1974.
The Federal Secretary, Election Commission of Pakistan further said that the Electoral Rolls will be displayed for inspection of general public in the offices of the Registration Officers/Assistant Election Commissioners in each District Headquarter and that the Provincial Election Commissioners and Registration Officers have been advised to finalize all arrangements in accordance with the instructions of Election Commission of Pakistan so as to facilitate Final Publication of the Electoral Rolls on the 26th October, 2007.
