CBR officers’ meetings begin today

ISLAMABAD—Three quarterly conferences of field officers of Central Board of Revenue will be started in Islamabad tomorrow (Friday).
Secretary General, Revenue Division and Chairman CBR, Mr. M. Abdullah Yousaf will preside all the three conferences.
Performance of the Commissionrates/Collectorates vis-à-vis revenue collections in the first quarter of current fiscal year will be discussed and reviewed during the conferences and strategy will be evolved to achieve the targets set for the second quarter. Actions taken on the decisions made in the last quarterly conferences will also be reviewed during the course of discussions.
Conference of Regional Commissioners of Income Tax (RCsIT) Directors General of Large Taxpayers Units (LTUs) & Regional Tax Offices (RTOs), Commissioners of Income Tax (CsIT) and Commissioners (Appeals) will be held tomorrow (26th October), Conference of Collectors of Sales Tax & Collectors (Appeals) on 1st November, 2007 and Quarterly Conference of Collectors of Customs & Collectors (Appeals) on 2nd November, 2007.—Online
