Zardari corrupt: Elahi
CHAKWAL—Chief Minister Punjab Ch. Pervaiz Ellahi on Tuesday said that
Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari were international corrupt. “Both
coming to Pakistan as they know that the treasury of the country was
full, “ he said.
Pervaiz Ellahi was confident that both (Benazir and Zardari) would be
rejected in the court of masses even if their corruption cases write
off. Addressing a big public meeting at village Dhudial some 20 KM off
here, CM said that Pakistan Muslim League created Pakistan while on the
other side, Pakistan People’s Party disintegrated Pakistan.
He added that the party (PPP) also looted national money. Ellahi said
that people would reject those people who entered into Pakistan with
international agenda. He further stated that 160 million people of
Pakistan wanted continuity of prudent policies of General Pervez
Musharraf. He was confident that Pakistan Muslim League (PML) would
sweep the upcoming polls due to its performance.
Ellahi said that there would be no adjustment of seats with PPP. He
added that PML and its Allied Parties would contest the general
elections against Pakistan Peoples Party. District Nazim Chakwal Sardar
Ghulam Abbas presented a welcome address.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Ghulam Abbas invited the Chief Minister
to contest the upcoming general elections from district Chakwal. The DN
said that due to the personal efforts of Chief Minister, Rs. 11 billion
development funds were released by the Punjab government for the welfare
of people of the district.
He further stated that one billion $ investment was made only in the
cement factories of the District Chakwal which provided thousands of
jobs to unemployed people. The District Nazim said that due to the heavy
investment in the cement factories, Pakistan has become the biggest
exporter in this region.
Earlier, Pervaiz Ellahi reached Chakwal by helicopter where he was
received by District Nazim Chakwal, DCO Chakwal Babar Khan Nasir and
District police line Chakwal. The CM laid the foundation stone of Govt.
Girls inter college Dhudial, up gradation of Rular Health Center and a
project of sui gas supply to the village Dhudial.
The CM also laid the foundation stone of two roads including Neela to
Udherwaal and Udherwaal to Moolowal. The road projects would be
completed at a cost of Rs. 33 million. Later, Pervaiz Ellahi inaugurated
the education block of Govt. Post Graduate College Chakwal which was
completed at the cost of Rs. 22.5 million.
The CM also distributed allotment letters to the landless people of UC
Noorpur who were affected by heavy rains. He distributed Rs. 7.4 million
among them. Speaking on this occasion, he said that all the people
living in “Kachi Abbadis” would be provided ownership rights and in this
regard, Rs. 3 billion have been allocated for the development of “Kachi
Abadis”.
Parliamentary Secretary Punjab Ch. Ijaz Hussain Farhat and Union Nazim
Dhudial Mussarraf Iqbal also addressed the gathering.
