Fazl calls on Qazi

PESHAWAR—The head JUI-F and Secretary General of MMA Maulana Fazlur Rehman Monday here drove to the residence of Amir Jamaat Islami and President of MMA Qazi Hussain Ahmed to inquire after his health who is on bed rest for illness.
He remained there for forty minutes and prayed for his early recovery, said Provincial general Secretary of JI and former MNA Shabbir Ahmed Khan while talking to APP. District Nazim Peshawar Haji Ghulam Ali was also present on the occasion.
He further informed that no political discussion was held during the meeting. Maulana Fazlur Rehman was in good mood and shared with him pleasantries in light tones, he said.
Shabbir Ahmed Khan said that Qazi Hussain Ahmed was suffering with pneumonia and his condition was now getting better. He would probably assume his responsibilities by the start of next month.
The three-day congregation of Jamaat-e-Islami is scheduled to commence from November 2, 2007, which Qazi Hussain Ahmed would also attend, he concluded.—Online
