‘Consistency in policies for education improvement must’

ISLAMABAD—Director General Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) Brig (R) Maqsoodul Hasan has underlined the need for ensuring consistency in present policies to improve education sector.
He was addressing a farewell party hosted by Islamabad Model College for Girls F-7/4 in his honor, here on Monday. The ceremony was also attended by principals of all government-run educational institutions of the capital.
Appreciating the government for diverting more resources for improving education sector, the Director General said there was a need to carry forward the process to bring the country at par withdeveloped countries in terms of socio-economic development.
He said that quality education was a remedy of all evilslike the recent unfortunate incidents, thus there was a need to make concerted efforts to equip every citizen with quality education.
The outgoing Director General said he tried his best throughout his service as head of FDE to provide better learning environment in the capital to prove that educational institutionsof the ICT as role model for the rest of the country.
The representatives of ICT’s schools and colleges also highlighted the services of the Director General for promotion ofquality education.
They said that DG worked a lot for the development ofeducational institutions of the capital and his services would go a long way in promotion of quality education.
Principal of the host college Rukhsana Tufail said duringthe tenure of Maqsoodul Hasan a number of new schemes wereapproved which would bring revolution change in education sector for country’s development.
