Tahir Waseem, brother laid to rest
ATTOCK CANTT—The Rear Admiral of Pakistan Navy, Tahir Waseem and his
brother Maj. (Retd) Amjad Saeed was laid to rest on Monday in the local
Attock graveyard with full military honors. The funeral ceremony was
attended by thousand of mournful citizens and all the high-ranking
officers of three services chiefs. Prominent among the mourners
included, acting chief of Naval staff Vice Admiral Asif Humayun, DG, IPD,
Lt. Gen Kidwai, DG Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra, Air Vice
Marshall Javed Chaudhry, former Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral
Yastoor-Ul-Haq Malik, DG, AYC, Fareed Iqbal Malik, Vice Admiral Saleem
Miani, and others. The coffin of the deceased Vice admiral was wrapped
with a Pakistani flag, and included all the medals and prizes awarded to
him during his course of career, and were buried alongside his dead
brother, with full military honors, by army contingents.—Agencies
