6 death row inmates keen to appear in BA exams

RAWALPINDI—Despite clear directives of Inspector General Jail, the administration of Adiyala Jail has stopped admission forms of six inmates awarded death sentence by the court.
The Prisoners included Akhtar Nadeem, Faisal Aleem, Usman Ahmed, Muhammad Sarwar, Mubashir Hussain and Aftab want to appear in BA examinations of Punjab University scheduled to be start in 2008. The registration of aforementioned inmates had also been done from Punjab University. Despite clear directives of IG Jail Mufti Sarfraz not to stop anyone for appearing in the examinations, these prisoners were not allowed to appear in BA Examination by the administration.
Deputy Superintendent Adiyala Jail and Incharge Education Haji Muhammad Saifullah Gondal when contacted rejected the news that IG Jial had allowed any prisoner to appear in the exams. The admission forms of all inmates are incomplete however it would be submitted before due date of admission.—Online
