400 IIU female students accommodated at Al Maktoum Hostel

ISLAMABAD—400 female student of International Islamic University have been provided accommodation in a newly constructed portion of the hostel with the start of the fall Semester 2007
Looking into the huge response of female student in the International Islamic University from within or outside Pakistan, there was a great demand for provision of female hostels in the university campus.
The University was not in a position to construct additional hostels due to shortage of funds. Al Maktoum Foundation, UAE committed to provide US $ 2 million for the construction of two hostels for female at new campus, H-10 Sector, Islamabad, says a press release issued here on Friday.
The University planned to construct two new hostels at a cost of Rs 178 million and the remaining amount was to be incurred by the University. After the immense effort of contractors, consultant and the university staff, one portion of the hostel has been completed and as a result 400 female student have been provided accommodation in a newly constructed portion of the hostel with the start of the fall Semester 2007.
