Translation of Holy Quran in Burushiski launched

GILGIT—The launching ceremony of translation of Holy Quran in local dialect Burushiski was held here in a local hotel and Acting Chief Secretary Syed Mutahir Ali shah was the chief guest on this occasion. The translation was done by renowned scholar Ghulam-ud-Din Ghulam who shed light on his efforts. Local scholars also addressed the participants and paid rich tributes to Ghulam-Din-Ghulam. They said because of his noble job the local dialect became a language. Among those who spoke included Professor Usman, Moulana Attaullah Shehab, Inayatullah Shumali, Sher Baz Barcha, Vice Chancellor KIU Aziz Ali Najam, Syed Yahya Shah, Amin Zia.—Agencies
