Excise police recover liquor

KARACHI—The Divisional Intelligence Excise Police in a raid recovered 120 bottles of foreign-made liquor. An announcement here said that the raid was carried out on a tip off. It said that the truck bearing number JSK 666 was parked on the main road at Gulistan-i-Jauhar Kamran Chowrangi. The truck has been impounded while the accused managed to flee from the spot, it was further pointed out. A case has been registered against unidentified accused, the announcement added. It said that the Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation, Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani has appreciated the efforts of the Divisional Intelligence Excise Police. He also directed that the drive against narcotics be further intensified.—Online
