PPP files attack FIR

KARACHI—Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders on Sunday registered First Investigation Report (FIR) of bomb blasts in the party rally near Karsaz in Karachi at Bahadarabad Police Station.
Aftab Ahmed Shaban Mirani, Sherry Rehman, Qaim Ali Shah, Nisar Ali and other Party leaders lodged FIR in the Police Station on behalf of Former Prime Minister and Chairperson PPP Benazir Bhutto, Private TV Channel reported.
Station House Officer (SHO) Bahadarabad Police Station who received one page statement of Benazir Bhutto said no one was nominated in the FIR however it contain material related to death of 140 people and injury of several people.
According to Police authorities the case of bomb blasts on Thursday night in Karachi was already registered in the Police Station and after one FIR, second FIR cannot be registered. However, the PPP leaders on Sunday registered an application in the Bahadarabad Police Station. President Peoples Party Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah talking to newsmen after registration of the FIR said the party chairperson Benazir Bhutto in the FIR told that she had written a letter to President Musharraf three days’ before her arrival in which she had indicated threat to her from three persons.—Online
