G-13 without basic facilities

ISLAMABAD—The allottees of Sector G-13 have started the construction of the houses without basic facilities which has erupted anxiety among the allottees.
The sector was opened by the Government Employees Housing Foundation 10 years ago and after acquiring the possession of the land, handed over the construction responsibility to the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The CDA has the stance that the civil works has been completed, adding that roads have been constructed while water and sewerage lines have been laid down while the facility of the electricity is the responsibility of IESCO and the provision of Gas facility is the responsibility of Sui Gas Department.
The allottees on the other hand have the stand that the Shah Rata Water Supply Project started by the CDA still not completed. The officials of CDA admitted the delay in the completion of the project and informed that two tube wells are being installed on temporary basis. The allottees have also informed that there is no sewerage system and no work still has been starts for the provision of electricity and gas facilities. They said that the construction of the houses is in the last stage but the sector without basic facilities.—Agencies
