23 road accidents occurred in Rawalpindi during Eid

ISLAMABAD—As many as 23 road accidents occurred in Rawalpindi city during eid holidays, Rescue 1122 sources said here on Wednesday.
“The Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122, Rawalpindiresponded as many as 52 emergency calls during Eid-ul-fitr, which included 23 calls about road traffic accidents,” the sources said.
Three emergencies of traffic accidents took place on 12October at Main Adyala Road, Double Road near Nawaz Shraif Park and Near Meharabad U-Turn. The victims were provided given first aid on the spot.
Seven accidents occurred on 14 Oct at Defence 789, Bahria Town, Rawal road in front of Rescue Station, Police Lines, Chohar Chowk, Pirwadhai, Khana Pul and Morgah More. All patients wereshifted to allied hospitals of the city for treatment.
On 15th October, 8 accidents took place at differentlocations in the city including one near RGH, Chohar Chowk, Romi Park, Faizabad, Rawal Road, Pir wadhai More and 6th Road. Therescuers shifted the victims to RGH, Holy Family and CMH.
Yet four more accidents took place Pirwadhai More, NawazShraif, Park, COD Chowk near Ayub Park and In front of GardenCollege. During the eid holidays, the Rescue 1122 also received EightFire Emergency calls and responded within minimum possible time, the rescue sources added.—Agencies
