Speaker accepts 22 more resignations

ISLAMABAD—Speaker National Assembly Ch. Amir Hussain has accepted twenty two more resignations of Members of National Assembly (MNAs) belonging to the opposition parties, the sources told APP on Wednesday. The Speaker National Assembly has so far accepted resignations of seventy three members of the opposition parties and all have been sent to the Election Commission. The members whose resignations have been accepted on (Wednesday) included 16 members of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) and six of PML-N. The sixteen MMA members are Opposition Leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari, Sahibzada Abdul Khair Muhammad Zubair, Qari Fayyazur Rehman Alvi, Fazal Subhan, Mufti Abrar Sultan, Maulana Gohar Shah, Hanif Abbasi, Maulana Muhammad Qasim, Maulana Shujaul Mulk, Zayad Akram Durrani, Mrs. Aasia Nasir, Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, Maulana Attaur Rehman, Maulana Shah Abdul Aziz and Maulana Muhammad Sadiq.—APP
