Delay in deal disappoints PPP workers: Ch Pervaiz

LAHORE—Punjab Chief Minister Ch. Pervaiz Elahi has said that former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto had made a deal by begging pardon but now the deal of the “Pardon Party” has been delayed due to which its workers seem very disappointed from their leadership.

Talking to media men here on Monday, the Chief Minister said that Bhutto should not have any misunderstanding and avoid giving statements about national affairs, national security and Dr. Qadeer against the wishes of the nation as atomic assets are in the safe hands.

“Benazir and Nawaz Sharif have nothing to contribute for the welfare of the people rather they are facing cases whereas our party has laid a network of development projects in every nook and corner of the country on the basis of which we will go to the people,” he said.

He said that Nawaz Sharif has been deceiving the people, his party and workers during the last seven years and now he will remain abroad for further three years as per agreement with Saudi government.

Therefore, workers of Nawaz League should decide as early as possible to which party they have to join, he added.

Chief Minister aid that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is a great politician and our relations with him have always remained good and in future will also remain good whereas an alliance can be made with him for forming government in future.

Ch. Pervaiz Elahi while informing about the development works throughout the country said that we have carried out development works much more than the development works carried out during two times tenures of Banazir and Nawaz Sharif.

He said that particularly education, health and agriculture have been our top priorities so that every facility could be provided to the people at their doorsteps.

He said that the sewerage and roads of Gujrat city are going to complete very soon and people will see themselves that Gujrat is a very clean and beautiful city.

He said that instructions have been issued to concerned departments for carrying out development work in Journalist colony and Inshallah this will be an exemplary Journalist colony.
