Five kidnapped students released, kidnaper held

NOWSHEHRA — Police have claimed Tuesday that it has secured release of five kidnapped students and has arrested one kidnaper in the area of Nizampur.

Some 10 students, from Kahi area in Nowshehra district, were on picnic in Nazampur area, when five of them were kidnapped by unknown kidnapers, police said.

Police assisted by dozens of locals cordoned off the nearby mountains, believed to be the hideout of the kidnapers and secured the release of all five kidnapees.

“We have also arrested one kidnaper Qimat Gul, who has named his other accomplices,” a local police official told inp adding that they have started an operation for the arrest of other members of the kidnaper gang.

“This gang includes dangerous kidnapers,” the official said.  The students got released from the kidnapers include: Mazhar Khan, Fazal Karim, Asmatullah, Irfanullah and Mohammad Tahir.
