Ban on carrying, displaying arms in Karachi

KARACHI—The city government has imposed a ban on carrying and exhibition of arms in Karachi till further orders a days before former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto is scheduled to touchdown in the city.

Karachi Police Chief Azhar Ali Farooqi announced that ban has been imposed on display and carrying of arms in Karachi till further orders and it would be implemented strictly.

The CCPO said that removal of banners is not the responsibility of police and if any untoward incident would occur in the city, police would fulfill its responsibilities according to the law.

The government has announced to provide full security to Bhutto, the Chairperson of PPP, who is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan after a decade of self-exile.
