Forex reserves up to $16.183 b

KARACHI—Pakistan’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves surged to a record high at $ 16.183 billion mark this week. According to weekly report of State Bank of Pakistan here Thursday, the foreign exchange reserves held by the Central Bank were estimated at $ 13.928 billion on October 6, 2007, while reserves held by the banks stood at about $ 2.255 billion.—Agencies
