NH&MP to take measures to control overspeeding on Eid

ISLAMABAD—National Highways & Motorway Police have chalked out strategy to control overspeeding on National Highways and Motorways on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.
Sources in NH&MP informed APP here on Thursday that theMotorway Police have decided to deploy extra police personnel and install more cameras on the Highways to keep an eye on the joy riders especially the young drivers who resort to over speeding on the occasion of Eid.
“Joy riders by their reckless driving not only put their ownlives at risk but those of other roadusers for the sake of fun and enjoyment and it is necessary to check them”,the sources said.
Moreover for checking of overspeeding at night-time NH&MP wouldinstall night vision cameras on bridges at Motorway to control speeding during night.It may be mentioned here that the night vision cameras have been provided to the Motorway recently.
The sources said that NH&MP officers have been told to ensurerule of law in all respects and no discrimination should be made because of any rank or status and that every road user must be given equal respect.
