BB, Zardari, Sherpao seek NAB clean chit

ISLAMABAD—Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, her spouse Asif Ali Zardari and Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao have filed petitions in Accountability Court Rawalpindi for withdrawal of accountability cases against them under National Reconciliation Ordinance.
Farooque H. Naik, counsel of Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari, filed their plea in Accountability Court Rawalpindi pleading for withdrawal of SGS and ARY references and return of assets. The court issued notice to National Accountability Bureau and adjourned the hearing for tomorrow.
Federal Minister for Interior Aftab Sherpao has also filed plea in the accountability court for his acquittal from NAB reference about Islamabad New City Project under the National Reconciliation Ordinance.
