Isn’t Kapoors’ real love story over?

BOMBAY—Is Shahid-Kareena’s real life love story over? Yes, it seems so. Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, who had been dating for several years, suddenly distanced themselves from each other, giving room for speculation of their break-up. However, they met recently as expected though during the final shoot of Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Jab We Met’. Director Imtiaz Ali had feared that his movie might not hit theaters on October 26th as scheduled. So, he requested both Kareena and Shahid to come to studio and give their final shots to complete the movie. Incidentally, this hadn’t been possible for quite some time as Shahid had been away for about one and half month to Canada for shooting.
Consequently, Imtiaz made foolproof arrangements by readying two separate make up vans for saving them from any embarrassment. The director’s hope and prayer bore fruits and both the actors obliged him by giving necessary shots face to face. Though both behaved professionally and most cordially yet they left the studio separately one after another. All those present, including the unit members, believe that their real life love story might end without any trace of their long and memorable past. The director and all those involved in the making of the movie have felt a sigh of relief, though. But, the fans of Kareena are upset.
Shahid’s family is more disturbed as Shahid hasn’t yet called on his parents —his father actor Pankaj Kapoor and his mother Neelima Azim. They are in the dark. Not only that, Shahid has been keeping away from most of his trusted friends. Industry circles wonder if the two talented actors making a good pair would ever accept roles together in near future. As far as Kareena is concerned she is often seen with Chhote Nawab Saif Ali Khan in the streets of Mumbai riding on the pillion of his bike.
Besides, she is found busy in making “friends” and looking for new roles. On the other hand, Shahid is keeping mum. Whenever any media person calls him on phone, the reply is “Not now, later”. There is a buzz in cine circles that something seems to be special with Saif Ali Khan these days as he has become a sort of magnet for Bollywood’s bindaas girls. Why else Saif was linked with Bipasha Basu not in the distant past? Now, he is being linked with Kareena Kapoor. Circles close to Saif attribute this craze among young Bollywood actresses to the actor’s continuous changing looks. Yes, Saif has been experimenting with new looks in each of his movie , beginning from ‘Hum Tum’ to ‘Omkara’ to his forthcoming ‘Tashan’ and also Abbas-Mastan’s ‘Race’. It is said that Saif will look too sexy in ‘Race’! Well then John Abraham need to learn a bit from Shahid Kapoor.
