12 killed as train hits bus

SHEIKHUPURA—Twelve persons were killed and 50 others injured when a Lahore bound non-stop train hit a bus at a railway level crossing at Muridkey, some 25 kilometres from here on Tuesday. According to police, the accident took place on Narowal road where non-stop train coming from Rawalpindi rammed into the bus. The identitiy of only four dead have so far been established. They are: Muhammad Akram, his wife Abida and son Faisal Akram residents of Jokot Bashir locality, Muridkey and Abdul Ghafar of Shakargarh. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals.—Online
