Conference on rights of minorities today

ISLAMABAD—Parliamentarians Commission on Human Rights (PCHR) is organizing a one-day conference on rights of minorities here Tuesday.
People from different strata including legislators, minority politicians, human rights activists, religious leaders and representatives of civil society organizations and media would participate in the conference. The minorities issues are complex and deep rooted in our country. International political developments, ideological complexities, constitutional segregation and week institutional response are largely responsible for minorities in Pakistan.
In this context, Parliamentarians, Commission for Human Rights (PCHR) has conducted a nation wide consultative exercise to identify major issues of minorities and find a way forward to end all sort of discrimination against minorities by adopting a collective and consensual approach..—Agencies
