Health Ministry mulls to appoint new ED in PIMS

ISLAMABAD—According to the reliable sources, Federal Secretary Health Khushnood Ali Khan has accepted the resignation of Executive Director of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
Sources told that the resignation of ED PIMS had been sent to Prime Minister Secretariat. Sources further told that ED PIMS had sent his resignation on October 3 to the Health Ministry and after acceptance of his resignation, the Health Ministry started to consider new names for the appointment of new Executive Director.
The Health Ministry received five names also including IG Federal Hospitals, Dr. Abdul Majeed Rajpoot, Dr. Wajahat Banghash of PIMS and a name of a retried General also included in the list, sources added. The final decision would be taken within the month. —Agencies
