ITP officers to attend refresher courses for improvement in attitude

ISLAMABAD—Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) is starting a series of refresher courses focusing on improvement in the attitude of policemen during interaction with public.
These refresher courses being arranged for the officials of ITP will stress for demonstrating polite and decent attitude while behaving with public.
Ms. Yasmeen and other lecturers from the Bharia University will deliver lectures, urging the policemen to inculcate friendly policing in the Capital and demonstrate better attitude with citizens.
The classes will be also held to improve spoken english skills during the refresher courses, a police spokesman said.
The SSP (Traffic) Zubair Hashmi said the purpose of these courses is to improve the performance of policemen so that they could behave politely while accomplishing their duties.
“ The objective is to take care the self-respect of the citizens besides ensuring safe road environment in the Capital,” he added.
Several complaints have been received regarding the misbehavior of policemen with the citizens during the last few months and such courses would be helpful to maintain the image of the force.—Online
