Govt on path of political reconciliation: Premier

ISLAMABAD—Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz Thursday said the government is on the path of political reconciliation and is engaged with all political parties to promote harmony, stability and understanding. “The government is engaged with all political parties to build consensus on national issues and achieve stable and productive political environment and serve the people better,” he said while talking to a delegation of MNAs, who called on him here.
The MNAs said they are confident of their success in the next general election as the people would give them the mandate for another term to ensure continuity of growth and prosperity. They congratulated the Prime Minister on the three-year performance report of the government which has been released recently and said this proves that record development has taken place during the tenure of PML government in all parts of the country.
The parliamentarians updated the Prime Minister on the status of development schemes in their constituencies particularly those relating to the provision of electricity, gas, clean drinking water and construction of roads. They said the people are appreciative of the development and reform agenda initiated by the government.
The delegation comprised M.P. Bhandara, Rai Mansab Ali Khan, Muhammad Tahir Shah and Azhar Ahmed Khan Yousufzai. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Commander (Retd) Khalil ur Rahman and Advisor to the Prime Minister, Rana Tariq Javed also attended the meeting.
