Islamabad—Ms. Sarah Hashwani, Hashoo Foundation Chairman, proudly announced that the Hashoo Foundation Women’s Honey Bee Farming project was featured and highlighted during the poverty alleviation session at the 2007 Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) at Hashoo Foundation first event in Washington DC.
Hashoo Foundation’s “Commitment to Action” will empower women in Northern Pakistan and enable them to provide for their families in a sustainable and dignified way through the training, microfinance, and access to markets.
Each year, Clinton Global Initiative links presidents and prime ministers with businesses, non-profit organizations and foundations to tackle challenges in global health, education, poverty alleviation and climate change. Hashoo Foundation is committed to share the success of this project and help develop strategies with other leaders so that women economic empowerment can be a reality in the region.—Online
