‘Trust institutions are gift of God for poor people’

Islamabad—President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nasir Khan during the visit Al- Shifa Trust Eye Hospital was surprised to see the facilities provided by Hospital to poor and deserving patients. He highly appreciated the efforts of Chairman General ( Ret ) Jahnadad Khan in the favor of patients. He said that Al-Shifa is providing the patients with their best possible eye care services. He added that Pakistani people are most donating people in the world. He said that Al- Shifa is doing a great noble work for eye patients.
Chairman Al-Shifa Hospital General ( Ret ) Jahandad Khan said that we want to facilitate the general public and providing the best possible eye care services to the patients at their door step and for this reason we have to decided to upgrade the Al-Shif Trust Eye Clinic at Islamabad. He further said that Al-Shifa is equipped with state of the art eye care equipments and with a foreign qualified eye specialist doctor.
He mentioned that 75% of patients care services are free, 20% pay subsidized rates while only 5% pay the full cost of the treatment. He added that their recurrent cost is Rs. 120 million a year. 40% of it comes from donations, 35% is generated from hospital charges, while 25% is contributed through Zakat and other grants. 4 million patients have been provided with state of art aye care and 400,000 have successfully undergone sight restoring operations on average, Al-Shifa Trust Hospitals in three provinces gave services to over 14,000 patients per month said the chairman while giving the details. He added that these hospitals have all the facilities for advance treatment, post graduate training and research.
Chairman FPCCI Islamabad office Munwar moughal , former presidents ICCI Mian Akram Farid , Khalid Javeed and Vice President Mohammad Hussain and former chairman CBR Mian Iqbal Farid also visited the hospital.
