100 employees of Holy Family Hospital dismissed

RAWALPINDI—Medical Superintendent Holy Family Hospital has dismissed more than 100 daily wages employees of hospital for recruiting other people on directives of Provincial Local body and Law Minister.
The dismissed employees were working in the hospital on daily wages since last eight years. Sources said Provincial Local body and Law Minister Muhammad Basharat issued directives to MS Hospital Dr. Abid Shah to recruit more than 100 people hailing from his constituency sotaht he can get more and more votes in next general elections.
Dr. Abid Shah apprised the minister about the vacant posts in the hospital, which was very less to his (minister) demand, source added. Upon it, the minister again asked MS hospital to find some way, as it is question of his Political career. Terming the decision injustice with them and their children in current scenario of inflation and unemployment, the dismissed employees have requested Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take suo motu action of the injustice as soon as possible. They said they were dismissed in Holy month of Ramzan and Eid is approaching. How we can fulfill the demand of their children and families in Eid, they questioned.—Online
