benefit from reconciliation ordinance: Afghan
ISLAMABAD—All Opposition
Parties and Government employees will get benefit from reconciliation
ordinance to be issued by President Gen Pervez Musharraf soon, said
Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Sher Afghan Khan Niazi.
Talking to newsmen, he said, the Former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad
Nawaz Sharif cannot return to homeland and take part in politics for
another three years, as he had an understanding with three brotherly
Islamic countries.
Quaid Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) deceived the nation by saying that
his exile was not Part of any agreement but before coming to homeland he
admitted publicly that he had an understanding with Saad Hariri and
Saudi Arabia but that was only for five years, the minister added.
Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman should
not have tender resignation, Niazi Pointed out. Fazl-ur-Rehman tendered
resignation due to pressure mounted by All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM)
on him (Fazal), he observed.
The resignations of 164 members out of 702 will not effect the
Presidential elections on Oct 06. He said the resignations would have no
impact on the credibility of the Presidential elections as the
opposition was in minority in Electoral College.
The minister said President General Pervez Musharraf's decision to join
war against terrorism with US was right and in national interest,
adding, Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) and APDM are being recognized in
European countries as extremist Parties that cannot defeat menace of
terrorism and extremism.—APP |
