SC can declare Presidential poll null: AGP

ISLAMABAD—Attorney General of Pakistan, Malik Qayyum has said that the Supreme Court can declare elections null and void in case the pledge made by President Musharraf regarding doffing his uniform is not fulfilled. Talking to a private TV Channel, the Attorney General of Pakistan said that the Presidential Elections are not faraway and hoped that the Supreme Court would not interfere in the Presidential Election. Malik Abdul Qayyum further said that President Musharraf gave an undertaking in the Supreme Court regarding doffing uniform and in case the pledge is not fulfilled, the SC can declare the Presidential Elections null. AGP said that he would appear before the Court in case of issuing of notice in the hearing of the petition challenging nomination papers of President Musharraf.—Agencies
